Smith Island

Smith Island is located just 1 mile up the river from BYC in the heart of Brockville's beautiful island parks and is considered by many of the Club's members to be worth the price of membership on it's own.

BYC owns the east end of the Island and has improved the facilities to include a fully functional "outhouse" (flush toilet) and full service cookhouse, complete with fridge, stove, microwave etc for the use of the Club's members and guests accompanying them. There is also a converted boat house that is used for informal indoor functions when the weather is not cooperating with our fresh water mariners.

Smith Island
Members are welcome to use all the facilities throughout the season with only a few restrictions on longer stays during July and August. The island is a great place to get away from the summer's crush of boating enthusiasts in the public islands, with room for up to 15 boats, there is always space during the week to get on the powered docks and re- charge your batteries. Weekends can be a little busier, but all members are welcomed and rafting of boats is common in order to accommodate everyone who wants to visit.

New Members will find the Island to be a great place to get away to and meet many of the Club's more senior members in a quieter and more tranquil atmosphere than some of the larger club events.

Full membership at Brockville Yacht Club has many advantages, and Smith Island is just one more reason to join.
