About the event
The Buccaneer Weekend Race is a recent addition to the Brockville Yacht Club’s event calendar, scheduled for Saturday, August 1, 2026. This long-distance race is open to all fleets—NFS, FS, Sharks, and Cruisers—and is organized by Karen and Chris Coligan. The course takes competitors along club waters, upriver to E, downriver to Catamaran Schoal, back up to F, then again to Catamaran Schoal, finishing at the club.
After the race, there will be a barbecue with the bar open and fresh sweet corn on the cob provided by Chris Coligan for “Buck-an-ear.” Members who play music are encouraged to contact the fleet captain to help coordinate the performance schedule, ensuring everyone gets a chance to showcase their talent.
