It’s time for a Smith Island work party! We’re looking for six to ten volunteers with some basic handyman skills to help install fencing around the boathouse. The goal is to keep that determined little beaver from getting underneath and building another fort.
We’ll meet at the club at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 13, and head out to the island together. The water around the work area is approximately six to eight feet deep, so the installation will be completed mainly from the docks. A swimsuit would not hurt
If you’re interested in lending a hand and helping us convince the beaver to find a new construction site, please reply and let me know.
